With Helping Hands, we value ALL lives.
Helping Hands of Georgetown is a non-profit organization looking to help better the lives of those who are underserved and in need! While it isn’t a widely recognized issue in our community, we do have a continuously growing number of homeless individuals and families who are struggling to keep shelter over their heads and food on the table. Our goal is to help bridge that gap by lending a helping hand.
Sometimes they just need a haircut and a good suit to wear for an interview or help with providing dinner for their young family. Whatever the need, we hope to find a way (with the help of our loyal volunteers, donors, and our VERY generous City partners) to fill it! This is a Non-Profit that began with heart, and it will continue to grow with HEART.
Our primary focus will always be our Mobile Pantry service which provides “brown bag lunches” and Pantry Bags (with 5 meals) every Monday through Thursday afternoon from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. We also travel to various low income neighborhoods to distribute lunch and pantry bags each day.
